Department
of Psychological Help
Bibliotherapy
is the therapeutic use of the written word to help people in any
situation in life. Reading is a way of making sense of the world and
our place within it. Books can be a useful tool in helping children
to cope with difficult situations. So
the psychologist of our library always gives advice on choosing books
for special times which are worrying, unusual or just new to them,
for example divorce, adoption, a new baby in the family and so on. There
is a special group in our library. It leads by our qualified
children’s psychologist. The participants of this group have a
plenty opportunities to read different books together and to discuss
any life problems and situations.For
very little children the psychologist organized a special group
”Ladoshki” and "Domovenok Kuzka’s school” for the very
little readers.The
psychologist also aims to help children and their parents by means of
individual consultations which are very popular among our customers.

book-lovers ready to help find information for research or science
projects, present exciting programmes and storytimes, teach children

Our motto is”You are never too young to join our library”.
Development
Prospects
We
believe in great future of our library. So we are making a lot of
plans. We
want our library to invest heavily in Information Technologies. We
created our library’s site.We
would like to increase services to special groups. We are going to
create a special Outreach Programme to reach out to children who
because of distance, circumstance or disability will never be able to
visit the library.We
are also going to have Coworking Zone where coworkers will be given
many options in how they share their talents with the community. We
would like to expand audio-visual collections, computer services and
book collections in different foreign languages in addition to
English, French and German.And
finally about our very special dream- we want to have a winter garden
in our library. We
hope all our plans will be executed.
